100 Mile Challenge - Looking Up!

Very exciting news about the 100 Mile Challenge! My CSA has extended it's winter service into February. Initially, it wrapped up in a couple weeks and I've been stockpiling cabbages, turnips and leeks in our fridge for when the challenge begins since I'm not convinced there will be enough local vegetables for us at the grocery store.

We might not starve after all!

  1. Jolly Farmer has a Winter CSA that ends in March. They might still have some openings if you need additional food if you live near one of their pick-up locations. I received 2 of their winter boxes so far. It's really good! They deliver to Moncton, Saint John, Fredericton, Woodstock.

  2. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited you're doing this! I don't envy the challenge of winter vegetables, but wow! You go!

  3. Thanks for the tip, T. Moncton is a bit too far for me to travel, but I'm adding it to my list of resources if any other New Brunswicker wants information on winter CSA's.

Thanks, Alyson. I'm mostly excited, but still wolfing down all citrus, chocolate, coffee and tea I see so I'll need 100 days to detox!
